Retail Core Expansion
There has been a lot of media coverage in recent months of the proposed Retail Core Expansion, which falls largely within the St John’s Urban Village. This proposes exciting new leisure, retail and residential developments in the area between Worcester Street and Snow Hill. A planning brief was drafted and put out for consultation by Wolverhampton City Council over the summer, and we hope to see developers assembling and working up plans for the site throughout 2004. St John’s Urban Village is keen to encourage the highest quality of development, to make sure that people living, working and shopping in Wolverhampton benefit from the best possible facilities. Wolverhampton City Council has recently adopted two development briefs as Supplementary Planning Guidance for the Church Street Car Park and Fox Hotel / School Street Car Park sites.
